Structure Fire Canteberry Ln.

Units from Station's 50, 10, 60 and 9 responded to a reported structure fire in the 900 block of Canteberry Lane at approximately 1200 hrs. Initial caller reported a fire in the attached garage with all occupants out of the structure. E-53 went enroute with 5 upon dispatch along with Chief's 501(Stallings), and 503(Hackney). 501 reported a working fire in a two story single family dwelling with smoke and fire from the garage area extending to the second floor. Upon arrival of E-53 they took the first due engine duties. They were followed closley by E-51, Tower 50, and R-50. Crews started a second line to the interior while the Rescue and Tower crews laddered and opened up. Shortly after due to rapidly deteriorating conditions crews were ordered out and the tower Ladder placed in opperation to knock the fire. Crews were on scene for several ours with overhaul and assisting the Virginia State Police investigators. While on scene Windsor VFD E-40 and Suffolk E-5 provided coverage to Sta 50 and 10
