At approx. 12:12 on 11-29-2019 the SVFD responded to a structure fire in the 600 Block of West Main Street. 502 (R Gray) marked off with a commercial structure with heavy smoke and fire showing from the Alpha and Bravo sides. First arriving Engine 51 assumed the initial attack while Engine 53 established a water supply. With the help of the Carrollton VFD Units Engine-10 & Quint-10 & Windsor VFD Engine 41 we were able to quickly bring this fire under control in under 7 minutes of the first arriving unit. This was an excellent display of teamwork and dedication of all of Isle of Wight County's Volunteers.
