Engine 51 First Due for the Working Fire on Fort Huger Drive

At 0803, Station 50 was dispatched to the 4400 block of Fort Huger Dr for a reported house on fire. 501 (Chief of Department Savage) arrived on scene to a 1 story single family dwelling with heavy fire showing from the alpha and charlie sides. Engine 51 (Lt. Burke) with 5 arrived first due and placed two hand lines into operation. VES was conducted on the bravo side of the building with negative results. The fire was placed under control in 1 hour with no injuries.
