Sept 9 through Sept 11, the SVFD hosted its second annual search class focusing on vent-enter-search, forcible entry, primary searches and searching off a hoseline. Day 1 was a search seminar with Days 2 and 3 having multiple evolutions, many under live fire conditions. The class, headed by Training Chief Jason Koepke, Lieutenant Chris Zach and Fire Engineer Curt Wilcheck hosted students from all over Virginia and the Carolinas. Due to significant events and sacrifices that occurred 21 years ago, this class was dedicated and held in memory of all who were effected
